Executive Board Members Elected at 2007 Annual Meeting

The Council of New York Cooperatives & Condominiums held its Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Updates were provided on key issues that CNYC is facing, with particular attention to opposing legislation that would require cooperatives to give reasons for rejecting candidates (see pages 1 and 3 of this Newsletter). The City’s CERT Security program was also described.

Mark B. Shernicoff had served on the Executive Board since 1981 as Treasurer of CNYC. He recently sold his cooperative and was therefore no longer eligible to run for election. Stuart Saft thanked Mr. Shernicoff for his many years of service.

An election was lend for five directors to serve two-year terms on the Executive Board that sets policy for CNYC. The list that follows gives the names of CNYC’s 2007 Board Members, their boroughs and type of home, and the year in which their terms end.

At its organizational meeting in April, the CNYC 2007 Executive Board elected the following officers.

Mary Ann Rothman, the executive director of CNYC, was elected corporate secretary and Mark B. Shernicoff was elected Treasurer of CNYC.
